The Role

Are you an ambitious HBO or University student looking to bridge the gap between hospitality theory and real-world event operations?

At VR GameHouse, our internship program is designed for high-level students who want to go beyond the basics. You will gain hands-on experience in the operations of a premium, high-tech entertainment venue, working directly with our management team to ensure every guest experience is flawless.

This is a role for a proactive individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and understands that exceptional service is the cornerstone of great entertainment.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the end-to-end coordination and execution of high-end corporate and private events
• Optimize venue operations, guest flow, and hospitality workflows
• Act as a point of contact for booking clients, ensuring event success from setup to close
• Supervise operational shifts during high-traffic periods to maintain service quality
• Identify, analyze, and implement opportunities to improve the overall guest journey
• Collaborate with the management team to align operational excellence with our growth strategy

Who We're Looking For

• Education: Currently enrolled in an HBO or University program (Hospitality Management, Event Management, or Tourism preferred).
• Hospitality Experience: Mandatory proven experience in the hospitality, events, or service industry. You possess a refined "service mindset."
• Operational Excellence: Proactive, highly responsible, and capable of maintaining calm under pressure.
• Communication: Native or near-native English fluency (Dutch language skills are highly preferred for local client and guest interactions).
• Professionalism: Autonomous, reliable, and capable of representing our brand with maturity and flair.
• Availability: Able to commit to a 4–6 month internship period in our Amsterdam venue.
